Welcome to Island Budget (“App”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Island Budget mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By downloading, accessing, or using Island Budget, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Island Budget. If you are under the age of 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App. By using Island Budget, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Account Registration
To access certain features of the App, you may be required to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Description of Services
Island Budget is a personal finance and budgeting application designed to help users track income and expenses, scan and store receipts and invoices, categorize transactions, view financial reports, and manage budgets, reminders, and financial goals.
Island Budget is provided for informational purposes only and does not offer financial, legal, or tax advice.
Subscriptions and Payments
Some features of Island Budget may require a paid subscription.
Payments are processed through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store. Subscription pricing, billing cycles, and renewal terms are displayed at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You are responsible for managing and canceling subscriptions through your app store account.
All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Receipt and Invoice Scanning (OCR)
Island Budget may use third-party services, including optical character recognition (OCR) technology, to extract text from receipts and invoices.
You acknowledge that OCR results may not always be accurate and that you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted data. Island Budget is not liable for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies resulting from scanned documents.
User Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the App, including receipts, invoices, and financial data (“User Content”).
By using Island Budget, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.
You agree not to upload content that is illegal, misleading, fraudulent, infringing, harmful, or abusive.
Data and Privacy
Your use of Island Budget is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
While we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, reverse engineer or modify the App, or use the Services in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair functionality.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in Island Budget, including software, trademarks, logos, and content (excluding User Content), are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Island Budget is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Your use of the App is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Island Budget shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data, profits, or savings, arising from or related to your use of the Services.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Island Budget at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or misuse the Services. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting within the App or on our website. Continued use of Island Budget after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
